Dave The Sandwich Guy

While we were handing out resumes we stopped at a little food establishment to replenish energies. It was Dave's Davisville Cafe to be more specific. As we got deciding what to eat and talking to the people that worked there we learned that they were indeed hiring. Score! Jasp got totally excited to work there and learn all about the food, because apparently not only do they make everything by hand, including bake the cakes and cookies. But they also smoke the chicken themselves! Can you believe it? In a real actual smoker. Dave said that the smoker fits sixteen birds and then made a joke about "less if they have their feathers on still", which Morro did not appreciate feeling for the birds, but Jasp was so into it. Dave taught us all about how to make good sandwiches, complete with love, and how much bread to order and how to serve pickles on a special paper (Morro got a whole serving of extra pickles with her sandwich).  It was grand!

Oh, and we got sandwiches which were really good.

That's Dave in the picture with us. He is really a stand up food citizen of the world. And that is us eating his sandwiches. Jasp is making that face because she said it was the best sandwich that she ever had in her life.
